CBD Tinctures Overview

Sublingual CBD tinctures are one of the most popular methods of ingesting hemp extract, which is why we took such care when formulating our ECODROPS™ and RIXMIX™ tincture blends.

Our ECODROPS™ line comes in four different varieties, so that we could provide something for everyone. They come in Relief, Dream, Focus, and Boost. Each of these products includes an expertly formulated mix of terpenes and essential oils. These specialized terpene blends are added to our CBD-rich, full spectrum hemp extract and they all utilize a multi fractionated coconut oil carrier to act as a preservative

The Relief special blend contains: alpha-Pinene, beta-Caryophyllene, beta-Pinene, delta-3-Carene, Eucalyptol, Geraniol, Humulene, Limonene, Linalool, Myrene, Nerolidol, and Terpineol.

The Dream special blend contains: Lavender, Roman Chamomile, and Valerian, as well as Linalool and alpha-Bisabolol.

The Focus special blend contains: Orange, Lemon, and Ginger, as well as D-Limonene, Valencene, alpha-Pinene, beta-Pinene, Citral, and Camphene.

The Boost special blend contains: Lavender, Chamomile, and Clary Sage, as well as Linalool, alpha-Bisabolol, D-Limonene, alpha-Pinene, and beta-Pinene.

Our RIXMIX™ sublingual tincture is mixed with a special Propylene Glycol carrier blend that enables it to be used as an additive for vape juice in addition to being used as a sublingual tincture, which offers a great flexibility for users who want multiple options.

What is the sublingual gland?

We have three salivary glands, including the sublingual. The sublingual gland is located underneath the tongue, where it is sandwiched between the muscles in our mouth. While its primary purpose is to produce saliva to aid in breaking down our food for digestion, the sublingual gland also functions to protect us against harmful bacteria.

When you hold a substance under your tongue, like an extract, that substance is absorbed by the sublingual gland. The longer you hold it under the tongue, the more of it is absorbed, so when you take a tincture it is important to hold the substance under the tongue for a minimum of one minute, although the longer you are able to hold it under, the better. When substances go through the sublingual gland as opposed to being swallowed through the throat ,they completely bypass the digestive system.

This means that they enter the bloodstream much faster than when consumed the traditional way, because they are not subject to the enzymes and processes of the digestive system.

This is why some consider the sublingual gland to be the optimal method of ingesting a substance if they want it to enter the bloodstream at a faster rate.

We take great pride in offering the highest quality, CBD-rich hemp extract sublingual CBD tinctures on the market.

CBD Tinctures FAQ

How to use a CBD tincture?

You might be wondering how to use a CBD tincture, as there are multiple ways it can be utilized. The primary purpose of a tincture is to have it absorbed through your sublingual gland, which is located under the tongue. Instead of swallowing, it is meant to be held there for at least a minute or two until it is fully absorbed.

How many drops of CBD oil should I take?

When it comes to the question of “How many drops of CBD oil should I take?”, we do give very general dosage recommendations; however, it can be difficult to gauge because there are so many factors, including individual biochemistry. We typically recommend starting off with the smallest amount of drops and working your way up as you feel comfortable.

Do CBD tinctures work?

A lot of people wonder: “Do CBD tinctures work?” The Federal Drug Administration has not yet approved CBD to be used as a treatment for any disease or condition. We always encourage people to do their own research, and there are many studies that have been and are currently being conducted which are investigating the potential efficacy of CBD and other phytocannabinoids.

Are tinctures safe?

You might be wondering: are tinctures safe? CBD tinctures are considered to have a very high safety index, and research has shown that CBD causes little to no side effects, especially compared to prescribed or over the counter medications

How long does it take for CBD tinctures to work?

We get many questions asking how long does it take for CBD tinctures to work, and that depends on a few things. When CBD tinctures are absorbed through the sublingual gland, they are able to bypass the digestive system and go directly into the bloodstream, typically in about 10-15 minutes. When they are ingested normally, the compounds go through the digestive process before reaching the bloodstream, which can take up to 45 minutes.

How do you know what kind of CBD oil to buy?

So how do you know what kind of CBD oil to buy? We typically recommend full spectrum extract as opposed to broad spectrum or isolate CBD. This is because full spectrum CBD oil has undergone the least amount of processing, so it still has the majority of its raw, natural components.

Can you use tinctures on the skin?

Yes, you can use tincture on skin. We have specialized cannabinoid (CB) receptors in our skin that will bind with the phytocannabinoids in the tincture. However, when tincture is applied topically, it does not go into the bloodstream, and only interacts with the local CB receptors in the skin.

Does CBD really work for anxiety?

A common question we are asked is “Does CBD work for anxiety?” The Federal Drug Administration has not yet approved the use of CBD to treat anxiety at this time. They are currently requesting anybody to leave general comments regarding their experiences with CBD on their website.

Does CBD tinctures relieve joint pain?

As of now, the Federal Drug Administration has not sanctioned the use of CBD tinctures to relieve joint pain, and no CBD product is authorized to claim that it can do so. Scientists have been working to determine how the compounds in hemp affect the body, including its potential anti-inflammatory properties, and more studies are needed to determine its efficacy.

Where to buy high quality CBD tinctures?

At Eco Sciences, we are dedicated to producing these high quality CBD tinctures through our meticulous manufacturing process. This begins with the expert cultivation of CBD-rich hemp plants which then undergo the cleanest form of CO2 extraction. Our line of ECODROPS™ and Social Citrus™ tinctures also include a specialized formulation of terpenes.

What is the difference between CBD oil and CBD tinctures

Tincture just means that is to be taken orally, while CBD oil is the liquid solution put into the CBD tincture. Most CBD oil is made using MCT as the carrier to dilute the product with.

There are many things to consider when determining what CBD tincture works best for you, including its ingredients and CBD concentrations. The process of finding the perfect tincture can involve trying several different blends, which is why Eco Sciences offers 1ml sample sizes of our ECODROPS™ and RIXMIX™ lines. Through this, you can experience the differences in terpenes and carrier oils first hand, which will help you to find your preferred tincture.
